Ezra's Extended Family~

With tomorrow being Ezra's 2nd birthday I just can't believe how fast time has gone by.  Today I'm wishing that these people could be here for his birthday.  This is Ezra's birth mother and her 2 kids with Ezra.  We are really missing having them close by.. especially today.  We love you Jen and we're thinking of you all.

Jaye and Ez

Our friends from Las Vegas who come to play have a cute little girl named Jaye.  Jaye loves Ezra.  Ezra loves Jaye.  I wish I had a Jaye to play with Ezra all the time!

She was so attentive watching him at the playground.  Perfect break for me.

Sunglasses Indoors.. Already Too Cool~

Ever had a 1 year old who had to wear his sunglasses indoors?  He should be a celebrity.
What a stud.

My Little Copy Cat.

Ezra is so curious.  He wants to be a big boy right now.  He copies everything Ethan and his buddies do.  Sometimes he copies me too.
Spencer was so proud!

Playing with Friends~

Ezra LOVES playing with kids his own size.  Our friend from out of town came over for an afternoon and brought her son, Boston.  Ezra loved playing with Boston!  They were here on a day that the big cement trucks came.  That was quite a show for 2 little boys!
Sidewalk chalk is a sure winner along with Popsicles and it's a perfect day for little boys.
They were fascinated by the big trucks and the cement pumping into the backyard over the house!  They had the best seats around.
Boston enjoying his Popsicle.  Wish they were closer so we could play all the time!

Mason's 3rd tooth~

Mason NEVER cries (other than the screaming) for no reason.  He is one tough kid.  One day I was sitting there minding my own business and a sound I have never heard him make - a blood curdling cry - came from the kitchen.  He had popped his tooth out and was bleeding everywhere.
I think he was hurting, but mostly scared.  We cleaned him up and then it was funny... to him.  I was freaking out still.

Swim Team 2010

This summer I put Ethan on the Swim Team.  He was mad and did NOT want to do it, but he mostly did.  They were great helping him and he did improve.  I think we need some lessons on his stroke next year, but I was proud of him.  This is him waiting at his meet in the 'bull pen' for his turn.
He would only participate in the freestyle, backstroke, and the last meet we talked him into trying the butterfly.  He didn't quite get the whistles to start.  He wasn't the only one though.
He loved his team suit.  I was nervous he'd never wear it, but I was completely wrong.
His very first competitive swim!
He was so happy he made it!
I was extremely proud of course!
Ethan was always making new friends.  He really ended up liking it.
I'm kind of glad that we only had 2 or 3 races to wait for.  Those swim meets sure can be long!
Backstroke was even harder to figure out the whistles!  The man would explain it every time.  Confusing.
By the last meet the nerves were gone, unfortunately that meant his times got worse over the summer.  Next year!
He would be a fish if I would let him.  He can out swim me, that's for sure.
