I have a 6 year old!!!

He's been looking forward to this since Mason had his birthday in May! Ethan is finally 6! He woke up early and Spencer had decorated the front room for him. We attacked him with silly string! He got his can and got us back. I think the one who really got it was me, I had to spend the next 2 hours cleaning it up!

He opened one present in the morning before heading up to Sundance for a day of skiing. He was so excited to go today because he had 6 people come skiing with him for his birthday.

He's still so excited about Transformers! I was glad that he isn't tired of them.

For Christmas Mason got a remote control helicopter. Ethan has spent hours playing with it and has become quite a good flyer! He finally got his own helicopter so he doesn't have to borrow Mason's anymore.

Here he is with all of his presents! The lucky kid gets to have another party with more family today, but for now this is his stash!

With 2 parties he got 2 cakes! He liked this one the best with just the big 6.

He blew out all of his candles in one try without any help! Usually there are just a lot of willing helpers around, but he got to do it all by himself this time! Happy 6th Birthday Ethan. We all sure love you!

Ethan Skiing

This year Spencer and Ethan got season passes to Sundance. They have already used them enough to make it worth it! They love going together. Spen is trying to capture some video and pictures of Ethan, but he's just too fast!!!

Hockey Game!

Every year the Angel's Hands Foundation (an organization that is so great and helps our family and Mase out with all sorts of things) has a day where they take all of the children who are involved with thier organization and their families to a Hockey game. Our kids LOVE it!

It's so much fun, and something that we may not normally plan to do with all of our kids. They also plan a lot of fun things for our section.

Every year they hand out cans of silly string to all of the foundation kids and their siblings. The mascot comes and 'visits' the kids in the section we are sitting in and they let him have it!! It was hilarious how much fun those kids had with that silly string!

Ethan remebers it from last year and how much fun it was. He went nuts with the silly string. He followed the mascot almost out of the terminal with his can of string. It was so funny!

They gave away so many prizes. Ethan just kept winning! (You can see some of the item he won he had to wear immediately!) Mason was a little nervous with all of the loud noises, but as long as Spen was holding him he was fine. Ez was such a trooper to be out so late. He didn't make one noise. He just sat on my lap and watched everything going on around him and then he'd cat nap!

Food and Frustrations . . . HELP!!!

Honestly I know that I shouldn't write about something while I am still emotional about the subject, but I am so frustrated right now I have to write about it here or my only other option is to just scream!

Ethan is the sweetest most adorable most stubborn child I have ever met. I don't want to give the wrong impression so to clarify - he's NOT a picky eater. He's just stubborn about eating. (If you have any theories, please - let me know!) He will eat just about anything. He'll even eat it fast! There is one catch though . . . you have to feed him or he WILL NOT eat. Maybe that's not entirely true either. You just have to beg and threaten him for every bite. Even things he likes - he just won't do it. You may think that he just is snacky and isn't hungry, maybe spoiling his appetite?? Nope, never wants a snack - not even treats or candy. Just plain WILL NOT FEED HIMSELF!

I'm going through a phase that I am trying to not break down and just feed him everything like I have always done. What this means for my life is hours and hours everyday of frustration and fighting. It's not doing well for me! I am loosing this battle. I am completely out of strategies! Last night he sat at the dinner table for 2 hours, not eating. When I would come in the kitchen with him and scoop up a bite for him he'd actually say, "will you just feed it to me?"

What do I do to teach him to eat and keep my sanity??~!! HELP!

Mase joins the sledding fun!

With all of this snow Kilimanjaro reached an all time record! It was over 9 feet high this week! We have all had so much fun sledding. (All but Ez. Ethan can't understand why I won't just try to take him down at least once!~)

Ethan and I spend hours sledding together. Today I felt a bit sad that Mase was just inside playing with his doors. Ez thankfully slept through it all, but Ethan and I decided to 'snow suit up' Mase into a 'snowman' to come out sledding with us. He only went down about 10 times wit me, then I was just too tired! He's a heavy kid!

Thankfully Spen came home and gave Mase a few rides. He just laughed and laughed. He laughs so hard that it's no longer audible! I love it. He loved being pulled around on his back on the sled too!

Ethan is becoming a real daredevil! I'm so happy that we have enough snow to make the platform at the top safe! He's really good at keeping the rule that he can only sled with supervision from a grown up though!

We have spent hours and hours in our front yard sledding! It's so great for me, I don't have the guilt that I physically just can't take everyone sledding myself - we just play in the yard!

Kilimanjaro Last night!

I know, I know... All I have blogged about is our sledding hill! It's so much fun though.

We Spent a while shoveling out of last night's storm and afterwards we got to enjoy some fun sledding!

Surprisingly, Ethan is the one who got the cold the fastest. Now I just have to go take more pictures after shoveling today's storm away!

Ezra's 3 Months!

I can't believe how fast time is going by. Ezra is officially 3 months old this week!

He's so big too! I can't believe how he can keep getting more and more adorable! He's the sweetest baby.

He LOVES to blow lots and lots of bubbles and stand up on his tiny little feet!
