Going Out~

I think the only people who will truly understand this feeling are my adoption friends!  It sounds much worse than it is...  During girl's camp this summer we made the most of our opportunity to go out as much as possible!  (Victoria HATES going anywhere and complains and complains about going out to dinner.  It really takes the fun out of it, so we ceased the moment while she was gone!)  I actually hear that not wanting to go anywhere is a very common trait for newly adopted orphan kiddos.  I just happen to love going out!  The best part is we could go get Mexican food.  That is one thing she just will not tolerate and there is nothing worse than spending a bunch of money on a dinner that your child whines and complains about like a broken record.

The boys were thrilled to go to one of our favorite places again.  It's been months!!  They were all so happy and excited.  It was a nice change.

We could tell it had been a while when Ethan was saying we should take our picture there.  Then he said, 'we should have pictures here in case we never get to come back!'  We just have to give her time and she'll come around. 

The other place we went she would have actually really loved.  It was SmashBurger.  This is one of my new absolute favorite places to go.  We had to get pictures of Ezra with the 'Sizzle' wall.  We have called him Sizzle (among other nick names) since he was born.

He's just a doll.  Ethan didn't come with us this night.  Instead he had a sleepover with his 'Reg and Gramp.'  (His names for Grandma and Grandpa.)  He would have loved it here too.  I think all moms just love a night to go out and not worry about what to make for dinner.  The best part is that everyone can get what they want and be happy about it.  Now we just have to work on convincing 2 of our kids that it's fun (Mase isn't much of a fan either).
