Manhatten Beach, California Trip!~

Luckily for all of us, the company Spencer was working with was finished up and he was ready to leave everyday by about 3 or 4.  That meant that we still had time to take the kids somewhere to enjoy the area.  One of the nights we went to the beach.  It wasn't hot or really even that warm, and the water was FREEZING!!  The kids were really excited though.  This is why I had to wait for Spen to do much of anything!  He had to drag Mason through the sand and it was a long drag!

Ezra didn't know what was happening or where he was!  He was in heaven as far as he was concerned.  He loved the sand in his toes and just kept trying and trying to run to catch Ethan (who was at the water in seconds).  He ran an squealed the whole way.

When we finally got close Ethan came to get Ezra and help him.  He wanted to show him the water and take him closer.

That's all it took.  Ezra is a beach addict.  The water was so cold it was numbing, but he didn't care.  He was fearless.  I was a wuss.  It was SOO cold!  Ethan didn't seem to mind it either.  Mason thought it was hilarious!  Crazy kids.

Spen and I took turns with Mason and Ezra.  I don't know which one was trickier -- heavy giggly Mase, or daredevil Ezra!  Mason had the time of his life.  He could have stood and had waves come at him all day if we would hold him.

It only took about 5 minutes for this to happen.  I felt like such a bad mother because he was shivering and his teeth were chattering as he played and danced around in the ocean!

Ethan was pretty taken by it all too.  He really wanted to go swimming and stay there longer.  He played in the small waves and managed to stay fairly dry... meaning the top of his shirt stayed dry!

The sand was fun to throw...

My boys on the beach.  What a fun day.
